1. The community aspect of this course is only to be used for constructive criticism. You are expected to leave comments often on other student's work, as we learn mostly from each other, but you must refrain from using hurtful language or negative commentary. If you don't have something nice to say about someone's work, then find something to say that may help them change or improve the shot in some way, and share it with all of us in a thoughtful manner.
2. When taking photos of other people on the street, please make sure they actually want to be photographed, or at least don't mind it. Your camera is not a weapon to point at people; have respect for others and treat them as you would like to be treated under the same circumstances.
3. Always make people look their best, and always delete immediately any shot that makes somebody look foolish, at a disadvantage, or in any way not at their best. If you are in doubt, send me the shot and I can help you decide if the shot is a good shot or not. Sometimes, people have naturally interesting faces -- wrinkles, expressions, eyebrows that are super bushy, and all those add interest and character to your photograph. This is how you tell a story; however, it is never ok to take a photo that can be construed as hurtful or making fun of someone.
